This homeowner reached out to us after finding humidity had caused the installation to get saturated and mold began to grow. After discussing with the homeowner, Jon designed a encapsulation system that dramatically reduced the humidity and provided a dehumidifying and filtration system that prevented mold and reduced odors.
We recently introduced a NEW flooring product to our customers, the ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring. Real wood should never be installed on a basement floor because it absorbs water vapor from the concrete and swells, gets moldy, and rots.
Our ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring has no wood at all, and it will not be affected by moisture or water in any way. Our ThermalDry Planks have raised pegs on the bottom that suspend them above the cold, hard, damp concrete floor, allowing the floor to breathe. Water vapor does not get trapped underneath your finished flooring. If there is a leak, the ThermalDry Elite Plank Floors can easily be removed, dried out, and reinstalled without having to be replaced with new planks.
Our floors give you that luxurious look without the worry.
CarbonArmor is a basement wall reinforcement system made from a fiber infused polymer that's 10-times stronger than steel. A high strength epoxy resin absorbs pressure from the wall to help stabilize it. There is virtually no disruption to your home as installation requires no outside digging and it can be completed in less than one day.

Homeowners in South Glens Falls, NY had a finished basement that they were looking to further waterproof. The existing carpet was not suitable for the basement environment due to minor water leaks, humidity and subsequential mold growth. Since these homeowners had living space in their basement, it was very important to make sure that it was waterproofed to protect themselves and their belongings. After some intial research they contacted Adirondack Basement Systems for a free estimate with one of our waterproofing experts. Our Design Specialist Jon Roz knew that the perfect solution to their needs was our ThermalDry flooring, which comes in both carpet and tile! They discussed their options and decided to install the ThermalDry tiles. Ideal for basement environments, ThermalDry flooring is waterproof, made of inorganic material and comes in interchangable panels should any become damaged. Each panel is raised off the cold basement floor by pegs that create a barrier from humidity and moisture as well as a thermal break by at least ten degrees. These homeowners now have finished basement floors sure to last!
A homeowner in Queensbury, NY had bowing walls in their basement. Along with bowing walls, there was a horizontal crack that ran across the length of one of the walls. Concerned about the structural integrity of their home, they contacted Adirondack Basement Systems for a free structural estimate. We sent our Structural Specialist, Jon Roz to the home to do a thorough inspection of the foundation. After taking necessary measurements and assessing the damage to the walls, Jon decided the best solution would be our PowerBrace System. This system is designed to stabilize failing basement walls and provide the potential to straighten walls over time. With no outside excavation required, PowerBraces are an ideal solution.
