This crawlspace had humidity and moisture problems as well as fiberglass insulation falling down and creating a mess. The homeowner was looking for a solution to prevent moisture and odors from coming into the home, as well as an efficient insulation solution. Our Foreman Sean installed CleanSpace vapor barrier along with SilverGlo insulation barrier to do just that. The homeowner also chose to have a SaniDry Sedona installed to help control the humidity and particles in the air beneath their home.
This basement window was old and rotting which allowed for an air flow from outside. Consequently, the basement became cold and damp. The homeowners were looking to replace it with a brand new window so they contacted Adirondack Basement Systems for a free estimate. EverLast basement windows are energy-efficient vinyl-framed windows. Unlike traditional steel and wood-framed basement windows, EverLast windows will never rot, rust, decay or need paint. They can also be easily removed for cleaning and maintenance. The Low-E double thermopaned glass of EverLast Basement Windows helps to save you money on your energy bills as well!
The "K" Family already had a partially finished basement and wanted to be sure that the basement would stay dry and could withstand water if ever there was some. The "K" Family decided to install an entire perimeter system and a sump pump to be sure any and all water is being drawn out of the basement. For finishing touches, they decided to go with our EverLast Finished Wall Restoration System. Our wall system uses only mold-resistant materials- with no vulnerable organic material. The wall panels and trim are not prone to damage like drywall, wood, moldings, fabrics, wood-based flooring, and wood framing. In fact, a basement refinished with the EverLast Panels can temporarily flood from a plumbing leak, inches deep, and it is highly unlikely that walls or trim will need to be replaced! For flooring, the "K" family decided to use our ThermalDry Basement Floor System, this flooring is also made with all inorganic material and will not support mold growth or get ruined during a surprise plumbing leak or ground water in heavy rain.
A homeowner in Delmar, NY contacted us looking to turn her basement into a clean dry space that she could use as an office and library. One of our basement finishing specialists met with the homeowner and went over all of the possible options she had to make the space her own. The homeowner decided on our ThermalDry flooring, CleanSpace vapor barrier, Zen Wall, Sanidry Sedona, and EverLast Windows.
She chose ThermalDry Sandstone tile for the flooring- a product that is inorganic and protects from moisture/mold and a cold basement floor. CleanSpace vapor barrier was used to protect the walls from moisture and mold. Zen Wall was used in some areas to help insulate the walls and provide a clean look. The Sedona was installed to control humidity levels and remove any excess moisture from the space while filtering the air. Lastly, the EverLast Windows provided new clean windows that would help with heat loss and prevent water seepage, bugs and the like from entering the basement.
A new homeowner in Delmar, NY had a small crawlspace with a vent that would constantly leak water creating a damp mess. It also effected the temperature on the first floor and these were both concerns that they wanted to be remedied so they could fully enjoy their new home. Being previous customers of ours at a different home, they knew Adirondack Basement Systems was the trusted #1 waterproofing company in the capital region so they set up another free estimate to put these issues to rest once and for all.
Our foreman Sean came and installed CleanSpace vapor barrier to floor of the crawlspace and SilverGlo around the walls. SilverGlo has an R-11 value insulation to keep more heat in the crawl space and home while Cleanspace protects from mold and mildew growth due to the humid environment of crawlspaces and basements.
We recently introduced a NEW flooring product to our customers, the ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring. Real wood should never be installed on a basement floor because it absorbs water vapor from the concrete and swells, gets moldy, and rots.
Our ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring has no wood at all, and it will not be affected by moisture or water in any way. Our ThermalDry Planks have raised pegs on the bottom that suspend them above the cold, hard, damp concrete floor, allowing the floor to breathe. Water vapor does not get trapped underneath your finished flooring. If there is a leak, the ThermalDry Elite Plank Floors can easily be removed, dried out, and reinstalled without having to be replaced with new planks.
Our floors give you that luxurious look without the worry.
This home was in need of new basement windows, as the existing windows were starting to rot and rust. Our EverLast windows are energy-efficient and vinyl-framed. They will never rot or rust like wooden and metal frames do. Easily removable, these windows can be cleaned and maintained without issue.

We sent out one of our trained structural specialists to assess the wall in which they ultimately decided CarbonArmor would be the prefect solution. CarbonArmor helps to reinforce walls that crack or bow due to issues like hydrostatic pressure and soil inconsistencies. Homeowners in Schenectady, NY wanted to have their crawlspace looked at due to humidity and moisture concerns. They contacted Adirondack Basement Systems to get an estimate on what could be done to resolve this. One of our crawlspace specialists met with the homeowners and addressed their concerns suggesting the CleanSpace vapor barrier and SilverGlo insulation. CleanSpace vapor barrier is an inorganic material that prevents mold/mildew from growing and moisture from raising humidity levels. SilverGlo crawlspace insulation has tiny graphite particles embedded to reflect heat and prevent it from escaping.
