Adirondack Basement Systems Returns as 'Cast Off Sponsor' for Mechanicville's 2025 Anything That Floats Event

Mechanicville, NY – February 26, 2025 – Adirondack Basement Systems is proud to announce its continued support as the 'Cast Off Sponsor' for the 2025 Anything That Floats Event, part of the 50th Annual Tenandeho White Water Derby. The event will take place Sunday, April 6, 2025, along the Anthony Kill, and concluding at the Mechanicville City Dock.

The Tenandeho White Water Derby, now celebrating its 50th year, is a thrilling 4.5-mile paddle down the Anthony Kill, starting from Coons Crossing and ending at the Hudson River. Participants navigate rapids and showcase their paddling skills in a spirited competition. Following the derby, the Anything That Floats Regatta invites community members to display their creativity by constructing unconventional watercraft from various materials, to try and float down the river. These homemade floats embark on a quarter-mile journey from behind O'Reilly Auto Parts at 80 N. Central Ave to the Mechanicville City Dock. The event celebrates innovation, community spirit, and the joy of sailing unique crafts downstream.

In the 2024 regatta, Adirondack Basement Systems made a memorable splash with their upside-down "All Things Floaty" umbrella float, capturing the imagination of spectators and participants alike. This year, Kevin Koval and his team are excited to stay dry with an all new Adirondack Basement-themed design, aiming to once again charm the crowd and successfully navigate the course.

The 2025 event is made possible through the generous support of various sponsors and participants. Their contributions ensure the event's success and the continuation of this cherished community tradition.

Festivities kick off at 10:00 AM with a Vendor Fair at the Arts Center on the Hudson, featuring local crafters, vendors, and organizations. The White Water Derby begins at 12:00 PM, followed by the Cast Off Derby at 2:00 PM, where rubber ducks race downstream for a chance to win prizes, with proceeds supporting the Mechanicville Area Community Services Center (MACSC). The highlight of the day, the Anything That Floats Regatta, sets sail at 2:30 PM. Attendees can enjoy live entertainment, food trucks, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.

2024 Cars and Coffee at Adirondack Basement Systems: Trunk or Treat Edition

Mechanicville, NY: All spring and summer, Adirondack Basement Systems and Rolling with your Ride Car Enthusiasts have worked together to put on monthly Cars and Coffee events. Cars and Coffee is meant to bring the community together, while raising funds and donations for the Capital Region Toys for Tots. Being that the events have had such a great response, the final Cars and Coffee event of the season is coming with an exciting twist!

The Grand Finale of the 2024 Cars and Coffee series will consist of a Trunk or Treat for regular participants, as well as all members of the Mechanicville community and surrounding areas! Classic cars in the show will be decked out for Halloween, while participants hand out candy to spectators and visitors. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character and come enjoy a morning of trick or treating! There will also be a large bounce house for extra fun!

Returning for a second year, Rolling with Your Ride Car Enthusiasts is hosting Cars and Coffee, to raise funds and donations for Adirondack Basement Systems’ fellow community partner, The Capital Region Toys for Tots. Adirondack Basement Systems is now in Mechanicville, NY, after a recent expansion from Halfmoon, NY, and has generously donated a portion of its facility to Toys for Tots, where the 2024 Cars and Coffee events will take place!
