The Opportunity
Adirondack Basement Systems is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys staying organized, and takes pride in accuracy. You’ll work closely with our Accounting Manager to support daily financial operations and help ensure our processes remain efficient, organized, and on track.

What You’ll Do
Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Assist with monthly close and account reconciliations
Prepare reports and spreadsheets for leadership review
Monitor deadlines for renewals, filings, and recurring obligations
Perform accurate data entry across accounting systems
Assist with sales tax filings and compliance tasks
Support inventory tracking and reporting
Assist with fleet and vehicle administration (registrations, HUT, etc.)
Maintain insurance and administrative documentation
Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding invoices and payments
Support special projects and process improvements
What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism
Accounting degree or coursework is a plus, but not required
