While we were overall pleased with the work, after seeing what was done and the amount of time required to do it, we do not feel we received great value. The project took less time than estimated and sections of drainage were not added due to structural issues. We do not have any criticism of Austin and his team. Their work looks great (the proof will be in the basement remaining dry), but we were under the impression that there was going to be a price adjustment because quoted materials were not required and the substitution materials were less costly. Also, we were not made aware that the dehumidifier could drain directly in the sump pump. So we had to pay for a part that we will not be using. Again, not feeling like we received great value. In fact, we feel like we overpaid. Perhaps an itemization of materials and labor would make me feel differently, but I'm guessing not. Unfortunately, we did not have the luxury of being able to shop around. We needed the work done and could not get anyone else in. The reason for a 7 in the "recommendation" section of the survey is that I would definitely recommend that friends and family not commit until they could meet with and qet proposals from competing vendors.

We enjoyed Richard very much. We would have like a more comprehensive solutions suggested, as opposed to a piecemeal approach, but we felt Richard sincerely had our best interests in mind.
Austin and the crew were fantastic. Very pleased with their professionalism and communication about the project details. I was a little disappointed that some aspects of the proposal were not executed, but Austin assured me that some things were not necessary (drain against interior wall in back section of basement). We were hoping for a price adjustment in a couple of areas, which does not appear to be the case.
Very good. Insulation blown into the large gap between the piping to the exterior would have been nice. But really no complaints about Austin and the crew. They represented your company very well.
Frankly, Adirondack Basement Systems was the one company in the region that returned our call. We scheduled a meeting and liked and trusted the advice Richard Kiegley offered.
