The CleanSpace liner is used to isolate the home from the earth and block water and dampness from coming through completely and permanently.  This dramatically reduces the humidity level in the air and eliminates mold growth.  The CleanSpace liner is carefully cut and installed by trained installers and is completely sealed over the walls to fully isolate moisture or dampness from coming through the concrete basement walls.  The result is an attractive, bright, tough impervious liner - and a healthy home above it!

Here’s a fairly unique example of a basement window upgrade we did. Typically, windows are replaced with ones of the same time. This homeowner, however, wanted to open things up a bit and let more natural light into the basement, getting the result you see with the larger EverLast window. The EverLast window they had installed is energy-efficient and great at protecting the house from incoming water, bugs, or other animals. If your basement windows are in need of a makeover, try EverLast!

Sump pumps are one of, if not the most important piece in a waterproofing system. If your pump isn’t operating properly, or at all, then the water is going to keep coming in and overstaying its welcome. Thankfully, the installation process for a replacement isn’t difficult or time consuming; our products can even be installed right over the old system like you see in this pairing of photos. Pictured here is our TripleSafe sump pump—our most powerful. With its tri-pump system, it can handle high volumes of water, automatically adjusting based on how much is coming in. The TripleSafe is a no-brainer choice when it comes to protecting your home from invading water.

Basement Waterproofing Contractor in Albany, NY

Even though it may not always seem like it, your basement is a crucial part of your home with the potential to do a lot of harm - or good. A wet, moldy basement creates health risks for the whole home. Unfortunately, it only takes a little bit of water or humidity for mold to grow, so even if you're basement isn't totally flooded, it's still important to take action. Additionally, if you're dealing with any water in the basement, you most likely can't make full use of that space for storage or other needs.

  • Sticking doors and windows
  • Tilting chimneys

We will thoroughly inspect your property to understand the causes of the issues above ground. That way, we can recommend a solution using a variety of foundation repair products, such as foundation piers, wall anchors and braces, and much more.

Concrete Leveling & Concrete Repair Company in Albany, NY

Concrete slab settlement is often pretty easy to notice on your property. If your driveway, sidewalk, pool deck, or garage floor is bumpy, uneven, or cracked, you can usually blame the concrete. However, old remedies such as replacing the concrete or mud jacking are usually unnecessary - thanks to PolyLevel® concrete leveling, NexusPro cracked concrete repair, and SealantPro concrete sealing!

As a state-of-the-art concrete repair company, Adirondack Basement Systems has a variety of tools and methods to restore your concrete.

PolyLevel® is a polyurethane foaming agent that is injected into the ground beneath your concrete slab via a small hole. When this strong, durable foam expands, it lifts the concrete slab back to a level position. Unlike mud jacking, PolyLevel® is lightweight and won't cause more settlement in the long run. It's also environmentally friendly.

NexusPro is an ultra-flexible concrete sealant that repairs concrete cracks and joints. Its durable formula allows for a quick-drying finish that resists extreme temperatures, UV-rays, water, and other debris, and can be installed year-round.

After repairing your concrete, consider extending its life by 3 to 5 times overall with SealantPro concrete sealing. SealantPro bonds with concrete on a molecular level to protect against gasoline, oil, water, liquids, and debris, thus securing your concrete and your home's image for years to come. Job Stories From Albany, NY
Sinking Crawl Space Wall Assistance in Albany, NY

This homeowner’s crawl space walls were sinking, causing foundation issues that could’ve caused serious damage if not addressed properly in a timely manner. There was access to the crawl space so our Design Specialist worked his way into the small area and took a look around, inspecting the walls and support beams to determine how displaced they had become. They then recommended the customer have SmartJacks installed to give the floors above a lift and to take much of the pressure off of the walls and keep them from sinking. The Design Specialist then passed the job off to our installation team.

To start off, our crew installed support beams running parallel to one another at the top of the crawl space. Then, they placed the custom-sized SmartJacks underneath and adjusted them to the exact level they need to be. Once in position, they fastened the support piers to the beams, providing a cohesive boost to the foundation. In total, there were nine SmartJacks put in and they immediately began doing wonders for the crawl space. The walls no longer would have to succumb to the immense weight of the house alone. SmartJacks are super strong and highly durable, able to take the brunt of the load and keep the foundation from sinking any further. Plus, they are completely adjustable so over time they can be tightened to lift the displaced floor back to its original position!

Strong Foundation Support System in Albany, NY

This basement was experiencing stair step cracks going up the walls. Damage like this is typically a symptom of bowing walls, so its important to have this problem addressed before any horrific damage occurs. Potentially caused by the bowing walls, the floor above the basement was also sagging, so that also needed to be addressed. Our design specialist went over the space, taking a close look at the displacement and damage then recommended two products: PowerBraces and SmartJacks.

The installation process started by clearing out the area to give our workers easy access to the walls and get a more accurate feel for what needs to be done. We then marked off precise locations for where the PowerBraces and SmartJacks would be installed after measuring the height of the basement to determine what sizes would be needed. The PowerBraces are custom-cut to size then attached at the floor and joist, adjusted to perfectly fit to the wall and stabilize it from buckling any more. PowerBraces also have the ability to be tightened over time and potentially straighten the walls back to their original position. The SmartJacks were then brought in to do the same exact thing that the PowerBraces do, only they assist the floor/ceiling as opposed to the wall. SmartJacks have the same ability as PowerBraces to be tightened and help lift the floor back to an even position. Both of these products are strong, highly durable and rust-resistant, meaning this foundation will have tremendous support for years to come.

Polylevel and NexusPro combo in Albany, NY

This Polylevel job was a relatively simple one. The homeowner’s garage had some sizable cracks in the concrete and was a touch uneven. In climates like New York, it’s common for concrete to freeze and expand in the winter, causing cracks like this. We looked over the damage and then brought in our install team to fix it up! The installation process didn't require any crazy gear or cumbersome equipment (and with Polylevel, it never does!), which meant all we needed was for the cars and some of the other stuff to get cleared out just so nothing gets in the way or weighs down on the concrete. First, Polylevel was drilled and pumped into the concrete, filling underneath the slabs with a specially-engineered mixture designed to permanently lift and support the concrete. The secret to this product is its two-part expanding foam that really gets in there and provides significant improvement underneath the slabs. Then, to fill in the cracks, we used NexusPro, which is a great product to get the job done. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro is designed to provide long-lasting flexibility and resistance to harsh weather, which is vital in our area. And the drying time for both of these products is a fraction of what other products require, which means this space was back to working condition in practically no time at all! This garage’s concrete won’t be sinking for quite a long time thanks to Polylevel and those cracks have no chance of opening back up with NexusPro keeping them sealed tight.

Three Product Protection in Albany, NY

The fight against intruding water is an ongoing battle for many homeowners. Sometimes it seems like no matter what is done, the water still comes, leading many to believe a flooded basement is inevitable. But that is far from the reality. When it comes to keeping moisture and water from building up in your home, all it takes is the right product.

This homeowner had serious concerns about the water in their basement. Even with a sump pump already in their house, water kept coming in and overstaying its welcome. After meeting with our design specialist, a new course of action was drawn up to replace the old one in place—and that included replacing the ineffective, pre-existing sump pump.

There were three primary products used to boost this basement’s waterproofing system. Since sump pumps were already being discussed, that’s where we’ll start. While many houses have sump pumps installed, over the years they become outdated or get worn down to the point where they can hardly handle a fraction of what they used to. This happens especially when the pump is not serviced regularly. We decided to replace the old pump with a brand-new SinglePack Super Sump, which is a top-of-the-line pump designed to handle high levels of water without any trouble. We also paired this product with proper additions that help it function at its greatest potential even in the event of freezing temperatures or heavy downpours.

Working in tandem with the SinglePack are a series of WaterGuards and a CleanSpace system. The WaterGuards were installed where the walls meet the floor. This process is done carefully as to avoid doing any damage to the foundation of the house. Our installation team takes their time to make room for the WaterGuards and then when placing them in the proper spot, connecting the pieces along the way, they keep a close eye on the WaterGuards, checking to see if there’s any gaps or holes where water could get through. WaterGuards are designed to collect any moisture that seeps in through either the wall or the floor and then divert it into the main discharge system; in this case that would be the SinglePack Super Sump, which sends the water out of the house to a distance far enough away where it won’t come back. Finally, to add an extra layer of moisture protection to the waterproofing system, CleanSpace was installed along the basement walls to help out the WaterGuardsCleanSpace acts as an effective vapor barrier, pairing perfectly with WaterGuards to give moisture zero chance of getting through. With all these products, pooling water won’t ever be a problem for this house!

Pool Polylevel in Albany, NY

Our work isn’t limited to just basements! We also offer Polylevel to help even out any concrete you may have on your property. In this instance, the concrete surrounding this homeowner’s pool was looking a bit jagged and cracked. The Polylevel process involves drilling holes into the concrete and pumping in a high-density polymer foam that expands underneath to raise the concrete slabs that have settled. And that’s all there is to it. Polylevel is a fast and easy job that’s environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and makes less of a mess. All it takes is a little rainfall and any sign of drilling or filling is gone! The concrete will look as smooth and sturdy as when it was first installed!

Basement Waterproofing in Albany, NY

This customer in Albany, NY, was having issues with their basement constantly being wet any time it rained out. Our Design Specialist, Dave LaCroix, decided that it would be best to install a drainage system within the basement. Of course, we used our patented product, the WaterGuard drainage system!

This system is a sub-floor drainage system, meaning that the system drain lays below the floor, but on top of the foundation. The WaterGuard is designed to catch any water leaks, redirecting the water through the drainage system, and out of the home through our Exterior Discharge Line. Since it is installed under the floor slab, it is practically invisible to the homeowner! The install is quicker, easier, and cheaper than other methods used in the industry.

Our foreman Austin Putnam, and his crew arrived on the scene to install the WaterGuard Port. The port is used to flush sand and anything else that may sneak its way into the system. This item makes the system flush-able and easy to keep clean and allows water to continue to drain correctly. The final step of this project was to install our IceGuard, which prevent floods from a clogged or potentially frozen discharge line. This makes sure all forms of flooding stay out, whether it's the spring rain or the winter snow.

If you are also struggling with a wet, damp basement reach out to us today to schedule your free, no-obligation estimate.

Polylevel in Albany, NY

A customer of ours in Albany, NY reached out to us with concerns about his sinking sidewalk because it had become an unsightly tripping hazard. We used our patented polylevel and Nexus Pro system to lift his sidewalk, and what a transformation it was! Polylevel injection is performed by drilling a small hole into the slab to be lifted and the Polylevel foam is injected under the concrete.  The foam fills the voids underneath the concrete and the slab is lifted into place.  The foam is quick curing, waterproof, and noninvasive.   Nexus Pro is a silicone-based sealant used to seal the joints of the concrete slab.  The Nexus Pro can be used with Polylevel and cures in just 60 minutes!!!
