Here’s a great look at the difference our CleanSpace vapor barrier can make in your crawl space. Before, this spot in the house was old, wet, and musty. Water was having no problem getting in so it had free reign to do whatever kind of damaged it pleased to the walls and floor. And though crawl spaces are not particularly a highly visited part of a house, they are vital to the overall health. If too much water is getting in it can cause the air quality in the rest of the house to be stale and stuffy. High moisture levels can also lead to foundational issues which can only lead to trouble. With CleanSpace—thanks to its 7-layer polyethylene composition—the crawl space will have a nice protective barrier from intruding moisture, keeping it at bay and from causing any disturbances. Pair it with a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier and some Drainage Matting and the crawl space will be even more protected from water and humidity. And, as an added bonus, CleanSpace also makes the area look pretty sleek, providing a bright boost to your dreary crawl space.

At Adirondack Basement Systems, we recently had the opportunity to assist a homeowner in Ballston Lake, NY with a concerning issue they discovered in their basement. Seven years after building their home, the customer noticed water staining while moving storage totes and reached out to us for a professional inspection.
When contacted, our Customer Care Specialist swiftly arranged an inspection. Our System Design Specialist visited the homeowner, conducted a thorough evaluation, and diagnosed a wall crack causing water seepage. To address this, our recommended solution was the FlexiSpan® Wall Crack Repair System, which we have found to offer reliable, long-lasting results irrespective of environmental pressures.
Our proficient production team, including a foreman and skilled installers, set to work on resolving the issue. The process began with our team applying a flexible sealant along the entire length of the crack. Then, a strip of flexible, porous foam was installed to facilitate any possible future drainage. To fortify this setup, an impermeable membrane was securely adhered, ensuring any water would invisibly divert into the basement's existing drainage system.
This systematic approach not only resolved the immediate issue, but also ensured the homeowner’s peace of mind, knowing they have a robust defense against future water intrusion. The project was completed with exceptional care, reinforcing our commitment to providing homeowners with a remarkable customer experience and solutions that stand the test of time.
At Adirondack Basement Systems, we recently helped a homeowner in Ballston Lake, NY, who was keen on replacing his existing sump pump and adding a backup to prevent unexpected basement flooding. He encountered worry every time there was significant rain, knowing his old sump pump had seen better days and might fail when needed most.
Our process started when he contacted our Customer Care Specialist, who scheduled an inspection. Upon visiting, our System Design Specialist conducted a thorough evaluation of the basement. It was clearly time for an upgrade to ensure he wouldn’t face costly water damage during heavy rainfall.
We proposed the installation of our reliable SuperSump system, well-suited to handle the water demands his Ballston Lake home could face. This system, equipped with a top-rated Zoeller 1/3 HP cast iron pump and backed by an efficient buoyancy-control system, assured reliability and effectiveness. A built-in alarm offers added peace of mind, alerting any rising water anomaly.
Our production team, consisting of experienced installers led by a dedicated foreman, got to work, ensuring the setup was smooth and minimally disruptive. From excavation of the older unit to securely installing and enclosing the new SuperSump, the process wrapped up with a tidy backup in place.
With the new SuperSump in action, the homeowner now rests easy. This robust and efficient installation in Ballston Lake combats flooding concerns robustly, bringing peace of mind knowing his space is safeguarded from unpredictable water intrusion. Our mission, as always, was creating a lasting, reliable solution while ensuring remarkable customer service throughout the process.
Recently, we helped a homeowner in Ballston Lake, NY, who was struggling with persistent water intrusion in their basement following some heavy rains and snowmelt. They reached out to us at Adirondack Basement Systems because water was seeping in where the cement met the foundation outside – a common issue during thawing and rainfall.
Our process began with a phone call to our customer service representative, followed by an inspection by our sales team expert. After a thorough evaluation, it was clear that the problem needed attention with targeted waterproofing solutions.
To tackle the issue, our production team delivered a bespoke approach, featuring the CleanSpace system, SaniDry Sedona, and the TripleSafe Sump Pump. The CleanSpace system provided the home with premium crawl space encapsulation, effectively transforming their previously musty area into a dry, more resilient space. This helped to stabilize the environment downstairs, preventing the kind of undesirable conditions that encourage mold and odors.
The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier reinforced these efforts, controlling any remaining humidity to safeguard the air quality and prevent potential allergens from affecting the home's atmosphere upstairs. For precipitation management, the TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed. With three layers of protection, even during power cuts, it added a robust additional safeguard against potential water damage.
After our team completed the installation and ensured thorough cleanup, the homeowner reported a noticeable difference. Their basement shifted from being a damp headache into a dry, secure environment, giving the homeowner peace of mind, knowing their investment was properly protected.
At Adirondack Basement Systems, we recently encountered a homeowner in Ballston Lake, NY struggling with sinking concrete around their pool area. It's a common problem that can create serious tripping hazards and detract from the overall enjoyment and value of a home. Understandably, the homeowners wanted a quick and effective solution that would also stand the test of time. After contacting our Customer Care team, a visit was scheduled with one of our knowledgeable System Design Specialists. They conducted a thorough inspection of the pool area, diagnosing the underlying issues causing the concrete to sink. Our recommended solution? The innovative combination of PolyLevel and NexusPro sealant systems. PolyLevel is an advanced polyurethane foam we inject beneath the surface, effectively lifting and leveling the concrete slabs without the mess and downtime associated with traditional methods. NexusPro sealant is then used to fill in cracks and joints, further stabilizing and protecting the concrete from future damage and wear. On the day of installation, our highly skilled production team arrived on-site, ready to tackle the project. The process went smoothly, with the area around the pool being lifted and stabilized promptly. Thanks to PolyLevel, the concrete was delicately raised to its original position, eliminating trip hazards and restoring the pool area's functionality and aesthetics. Following that, all cracks and joints were sealed with NexusPro, safeguarding the area against water intrusion and future cracking. By the time we completed the job, the transformation was remarkable. What once was an unsafe, uneven area around their swimming pool had become solid, level, and visually appealing. The homeowner was thrilled with the speed of the installation and the minimal disruption to their daily life – not to mention the reassurance that the problem was resolved long-term.
A homeowner in Ballston Lake, NY called with concerns of 2 unsightly lines of cracked concrete on their garage floor, worried that the damage might get worse. The homeowner was specifically looking for a long-term, dependable solution. After scheduling a free estimate with our customer care team, and meeting with one of our design specialists, NexusPro® was the recommended solution.
NexusPro® is a top-of-the-line product, known for delivering seamless and enduring results. Our production team started by cleaning and drying the area, filling in the cracks with NexusPro®, sealing the project with sand, and letting it sit and absorb. The cracks are now sealed from future water damage and wear and tear from vehicles. The customer was very impressed with how quick the job was completed, and the minimal mess during and post-project.
This homeowner’s foundation was experiencing bowing basement walls, so they called us to look at it and gauge how dire the situation was, along with what could be done to remedy the situation. One of our certified design specialists surveyed the entire basement, inspecting each wall and measuring how displaced the walls were. Once they had a plan drawn up, they then walked through everything with the homeowner, explaining what exactly was wrong and what a potential solution would look like. For this basement, the perfect solution was CarbonArmor.
After having the baton passed to them from the design specialist, our installation team went in and marked the locations of where the CarbonArmor would be placed, ensuring that they are properly spaced out so the weight they would be supporting is evenly distributed. With the prep work completed, all that was left was to install the product! CarbonArmor is a fantastic solution to bowing walls because it is noninvasive, meaning the installation itself doesn’t cause any hassle, and afterwards you’re free to do whatever you’d like to your basement. With this type of foundation, the tension is going to be on the inside portion of the wall, which is what makes CarbonArmor the perfect solution. The force coming from the soil pushes on the foundation from the outside, so by having the CarbonArmor attached to the inside, it provides stable support for the wall, preventing any further bowing, displacement, and damage.
EverLast window installation can take time, but it’s well worth the wait. This job started out with a conversation between the homeowner and one of our certified design specialists. The homeowner had a pre-existing basement window, but wanted to get it replaced with a larger one—not a problem for us! The design specialist looked over the area—both inside and outside the house—measured the correct window size (double checking at every step) gave an estimate, then passed it off to our installation team.
Once the custom-made windows were in, our team got to work clearing out an area in the yard for where the window and its RockWell and covering would be. A RockWell is a great product to have to keep the window protected against inclement weather and other acts of nature. With the area clear, the team removed the old window and cut out space for the new, larger one. Then, they installed the window, making sure it was a tight seal so no water or animals can get in (or heat can escape). After the window is sealed, the RockWell and its covering were attached. We then double-checked each product, ensuring that it’s properly installed and that there are no defects. Once completed, we cleaned up the mess we made, filling in the excavated dirt so grass can start growing back, and dusting away any other things we may have left around inside. And with that, this home now has an updated, beautiful window that not only adds a bit to the aesthetic of the house, but also provides it with a nice layer of protection from the elements.
Mr. "R" of Ballston Lake noticed large cracks forming in the foundation of his garage walls. Concerned with this foundation issue, he wanted to make sure it was resolved to prevent any future structural problems from occurring. After contacting our office, Mr. "R" met with our Design Specialist Bill to inspect the issue further and discuss the best possible solution to fix it.
Bill decided the appropriate solution for Mr. "R"s foundation would be to adhere our Carbon Armor straps to his walls to prevent any further damage from occurring. Carbon fiber is nearly impossible to stretch which allows it to keep concrete walls from bending or bowing inward. Carbon Armor is the perfect repair option if the walls haven't started to slide in at the bottom or lean in at the top. It is 10 times stronger than steel and the ONLY carbon fiber product designed to code American Concrete Institution 440.7R-10. Our product is engineered to be the best in the market!
Mr. "R" was very happy with the results of the Carbon Armor installation done by our foreman Austin and his crew. Now he no longer has to worry about new cracks forming and hindering the stability of his foundation.
