Encapsulating your crawl space is important because it will greatly reduce moisture and lower the risk of mold growing significantly. We also included The SmartSump™, which has a high quality Zoeller 1/3-hp cast-iron pump, with automatic float switch. The lid and unique SuperLiner® sump pump basin are designed to accept the CleanSpace® crawl space vapor barrier system, for an airtight seal. Now this customer's previously muddy, smelly crawlspace has been transformed into a clean, usable storage area!
Water seeping through concrete block walls and overall dampness led to this customer contacting us. Our Design Specialist performed a very thorough assessment and proposed a long-term waterproofing solution that consisted of our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. A unique "figure eight" design allows all three submersible pumps to fit perfectly in a single sump liner. With the TripleSafe™ system, you don't have to worry about high pumping demands that can overwhelm or burn out single-pump systems. And if there's a power outage, your TripleSafe™ system will keep operating, thanks to the UltraSump™ battery-powered backup pump.
We also installed a Trench Drain System, which provides an elongated surface for water to drain from a specific area, such as a driveway, beneath an un-guttered roof edge, sidewalk or similar area where water tends to collect. It's essentially a gutter that is set into the ground.
Our Waterguard system collects water from the wall floor joint and directs it to the sump chamber. It sits above the footer to avoid blocking with dirt (as a drain tile system can). A special flange allows water to be collected from the face of the foundation wall into the sub - floor channel.
