This job featured a common, yet highly effective waterproofing setup that we utilize to relieve homes of consistent pooling water. After our design specialist took the proper measurements and mapped out where everything would go, our installation team got to work removing portions of the floor and wall to make room for the WaterGuard. WaterGuard sits where the floor and wall meet and are designed to collect water seeping in from outside the home and redirect it so it doesn’t accumulate and cause damage. After the WaterGuards were laid out and secured, the team replaced the pieces of the wall they removed and poured new concrete on the part of the floor they took out. The WaterGuard system feeds (in the case of this job) into a TripleSafe sump pump, which is more than capable of combatting high levels of water, all without intense supervision. The TripleSafe has a built-in sensor that allows the system to increase in power after detecting larger amounts of water entering. It also has a backup battery for the unfortunate inevitability of a power outage during bad storms. Finally, our team moved to the outside of the house where it dug out a path for the EDC and LawnScape to be laid a proper distance away from the house so the water doesn’t go running right back in. After after filling the dirt back in, covering the pipes, the job was done! This basement now has great protection against pesky moisture!
Crawl spaces are often left neglected, but their impact on the overall health of a home cannot be understated. This homeowner had an old, unprotected crawl space that they had concerns about. One of our certified design specialists went in and surveyed the area, figuring out a protection plan that will be efficient, reliable, and long-lasting. They then went over the plan with the homeowner so everyone is on the same page about the next steps. Both parties agreed upon a full waterproofing system, consisting of CleanSpace, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, and a SaniDry Sedona. These three products are commonly paired together and work as a fantastic team to handle water and air quality. Our installation team started with the CleanSpace, laying it out along the entire length of the crawl space and a little up the walls. CleanSpace is a great vapor barrier that will last for years. Then, they installed the TripleSafe, hooking it up to an EDC system that carries the water far enough away from the house that it won’t run right back in. Finally, the finishing touch, was the SaniDry, which is a powerful dehumidifier that helps improve the air quality in the crawl space that then spreads to the rest of the house. With these products assisting the crawl space, this home won’t have any more water issues.
This job was all about one product: Basement to Beautiful. This customer wanted to get some protection for their basement before they went ahead with finishing it, so they needed something that could provide that for the walls—which is where Basement to Beautiful came in to play.
The first step in the installation process for this product involved a survey of the basement and proper measurements of the walls so the correct size was used. If there is any sort of miscalculation, then the system won’t be nearly as effective, which is why we take our time with this step—one can never be to prepared in this line of work. Once the prep was completed and the materials were gathered, we went ahead with the installation, clearing out anything in the way to avoid complications or accidental damage. This product doesn’t require much, making the process noninvasive and worry-free for the homeowner. Basement to Beautiful is comprised of foam panels with built-in metal studs that attach directly to the pre-existing wall. The panels are 2 1/2” thick, providing 24% more energy savings than conventional foam products. Once the installation was complete and we double checked each panel to make sure they’re secured properly (always willing to come back out to the job site if they aren’t), this now home has solid sheet of insulation that is rot-resistant and doesn’t support mold growth. Basement to Beautiful pairs with all our other waterproofing products and sets the space up for finishing, regardless of what direction you wish to take it in!
