When it comes to sump systems, the pump itself is very important, but the drainage and prep work is equally vital to the system’s effectiveness. If the pump doesn’t direct the water far away enough from the house, then it’ll just come right back time and again. Let’s take a look at this job as an example for how the whole process works.
First, we went over the space where the pump would go and make sure the location is good and prepped for installation. Then, we headed outside to measure a safe and proper distance for the drainage system. It’s imperative that the outlet for the water is not close to the house or positioned in any way that would cause it to come running right back in—otherwise, everything would be pointless. Once all the measuring and prep work is completed, it’s time for the installation.
