Upon completion, our team made sure everything was meticulously cleaned, leaving the homeowner with not just a fortified basement, but also peace of mind. In Mechanicville, NY, a homeowner with a manufactured home on a concrete slab, enclosed with skirting and crawlspace concerns, reached out to us at Adirondack Basement Systems. His concern was with the foundation's stability. He noticed that the floors were beginning to sag, causing worry about potential further damage and discomfort in his home. He wanted the supports beneath his home reinforced for assured stability and peace of mind.
Our process began when he spoke with one of our Customer Care Specialists. We quickly scheduled a home inspection with one of our System Design Specialists. Upon performing a detailed inspection of the crawlspace and foundation area, the Science Design Specialist diagnosed issues indicated by weakened floor joists and excessive spans. We recommended our SmartJack® System as the ideal solution to address these concerns.
A production team led by an experienced foreman arrived to initiate the repair. They introduced the SmartJack system to stabilize the crawl space structure. The team skillfully prepared the solid bases, set the galvanized steel columns onto 12-inch steel bases, and introduced threaded rods for precise adjustments. These components were adeptly secured to the home's existing girders. The systematic installation of the SmartJack system effectively lifted and supported the sagging floors, restoring them closer to their intended level, eliminating floor bounce and instability.
The outcome was notable—the home's structural integrity was visibly enhanced, and the client's concerns were adequately addressed. By leveraging our expertise and the resilience of the SmartJack system, we provided our Mechanicville homeowner with a long-lasting and effective foundation repair solution, while embodying our mission of delivering a remarkable and reliable customer experience.
In Mechanicville, NY, a homeowner faced a worrisome issue in their newly built house: water seeping into the basement whenever a heavy storm hit or snow melted. Despite several attempts to resolve the issue, the builders couldn't find a solution, leaving the homeowner frustrated and searching for a dependable fix. That's where we, at Adirondack Basement Systems, stepped in.
Once they reached out to us, our Customer Care Specialist promptly scheduled a home inspection with one of our System Design Specialists. During the visit, we performed a thorough inspection and identified the problem area, affirming that a lasting solution was needed to ensure the homeowner's peace of mind.
Our plan involved installing the SuperSump system and the FlexiSpan wall crack repair system. The SuperSump, with its top-rated Zoeller pump and airtight cover, offers reliable protection against flooding, ensuring water is efficiently removed from the basement. Alongside, the FlexiSpan system was applied to the cracked wall area, employing a flexible sealant and a porous foam strip, finalized with an impermeable membrane. This mechanism ensures that even if seepage occurs in the future, the water is invisibly guided to the drainage system, preventing any leakage onto the floor.
Once our production team completed the installation, the homeowner could finally breathe easy, assured that their basement was protected from water intrusion. Our commitment to delivering a remarkable customer experience and a reliable, lasting solution truly came to life as this Mechanicville household now enjoys a dry and secure basement, free from water worries.
At Adirondack Basement Systems, we're all about providing solutions that stand the test of time and create a safer environment for homeowners. One recent job took us to Albany, NY, where a homeowner reached out with a problem that's all too common - a severely uneven concrete sidewalk. This not only detracted from the home's curb appeal but posed a trip hazard to anyone walking by. After the homeowner connected with our dedicated Customer Care team, we promptly scheduled a home inspection. Our System Design Specialist visited the property, examined the uneven sidewalk's extent, and recommended a combo of our PolyLevel and NexusPro solutions. These products are at the forefront of concrete lifting and sealing technology, ensuring both effectiveness and longevity. PolyLevel, a state-of-the-art foam injection, quickly raises and stabilizes concrete slabs without the mess of traditional mudjacking. NexusPro then sealed the deal, filling in cracks and joints to prevent future water damage and soil erosion, which are common culprits behind uneven sidewalks. The day of installation was smooth sailing. Our production team, led by an experienced foreman, professionally lifted the sunk sections of the sidewalk and sealed all cracks, substantially improving the look and safety of the property. We made certain the site was as spotless as when we arrived, leaving behind only our quality workmanship. The outcome? Another satisfied homeowner, safe from potential trips and falls, and a sidewalk that looks as good as new. This job is just one example of how our mix of advanced products and meticulous service tackles even the trickiest home issues, reflecting our mission to deliver a remarkable customer experience every time.
A customer from Mechanicville, NY called looking for a way to allow natural light into the basement, whilst making it more safe for family and friends. Upon speaking with our customer care team, a Design Specialist was sent out to inspect the area and propose a solution for free.
Our Design Specialist proposed 2 large E-Gress windows. E-Gress windows allow for natural light in a basement, as well as provide an escape route incase of emergency. Once agreed upon, our production crew installed the 2 windows, with little disruption to the home or neighborhood.
This homeowner had a continuing water problem in their basement. They contacted us here at Adirondack Basement Systems to get the problem resolved. We did just that when we showed up. To pump out all the water that was coming in we installed our TripleSafe sump pump which has a total of three pumps. The first pump turns on and is able to pump out 2,220 gallons of water and hour but if that is not enough the second pump turns on and is able to pump out an additional 3,900 gallons of water per hour. If the power were to go out there is a third pump which is backed up by a battery and is able to pump out 11,500 gallons of water.
This was a simple waterproofing job involving a mere two products. The basement was an older style, built out of mismatched stones that allow water to easily get in. The space wasn’t really used for much, so instead of going overboard with a huge revitalization, all we and the homeowner decided upon was something that would keep the little bits of water flowing out of the house and the humidity to a minimum. The products selected? SuperSumps and a SaniDry Sedona.
The SuperSump is a very reliable sump pump that can handle sizable amounts of water and gives the homeowner peace of mind. We also included an IceGuard as an attachment to help the SuperSump function properly even in freezing temperatures. Two SuperSumps were installed in opposite locations in the basement to maintain a well-rounded pumping system within the space. There was already a spot where a pump originally was, so we simply installed one right where the old one was. We placed the pump discharge location far enough away from the house to keep the water from flowing right back in and repeating a viscous cycle. As for the SaniDry Sedona, this dehumidifier is compact yet highly effective at taking the moisture out of the air and keeping the house from constantly having sticky, musty air. 50% of all air in the home originates from the basement so it is important to keep the area dry and clean; something this homeowner now has thanks to these two fantastic products.
Not every job has to be a complicated one, but even with the simple jobs, we make sure to take the proper care and time that’s needed to give the customer an effective, full-functioning product that does the jobs it’s meant to do. We're here to help with any job you may have, regardless of size! In this instance, much of typical work that’s needed for putting in a sump system was in place before we got there. The customer already had a Zoeller pump and the plumbing was in place, so all we needed to do was go in and install the UltraSump onto the existing Zoeller and that was that. What a seemingly small project like this accomplished was boost the sump pump system of the basement, protecting the house more effectively from invasive water and keeping it flowing out of the space with no chance of pooling. Even the smallest installation can have a huge impact on the waterproofing system of your home, so never hesitate to see what improvements can be made in your basement!
No two jobs are the same and thankfully some are easy and simple, requiring no immense renovations to solve the problem. This homeowner's basement wasn’t experiencing any immense flooding, however water getting in remained a looming presence and there were some signs of moisture seeping in, so they wanted to do something about it to ease their mind. After inspecting the basement, our Design Specialist found an easy, effective fix to their water troubles. It was determined that the water was primarily entering through the window, so a WellDuct kit was installed to keep the window well filled with water from flooding into the basement. This product also diverts the water from the window to the interior drainage system. And since the WellDuct kit can be fitted to any window regardless of shape or size, installation is a breeze! Finally, to fix the wall cracks, FlexiSpan foam was used to plug them up and prevent any additional leakage into the basement.
This customer from Mechanicville, NY, contacted us when he noticed cracks in his basement walls. Our Design Specialist, Dave LaCroix, decided that we would repair the cracking in the walls with our patented FlexiSpan crack repair system! This system is actually a three-part process, providing multiple layers of protection. The process begins with applying the sealant along the length of the cracks. After the sealant is applied, a foam is installed on top of that, over the crack. Lastly, an impenetrable membrane sticks to the wall on both sides of the foam strip. This allows any leakage of water through the crack to move down the wall and into the drainage system.
Now, their basement is crack-free, and you would have never known there were cracks there to begin with! If you are worried about cracking in your basement, you can reach out to us today to schedule your free estimate.
A homeowner in Mechanicville, NY had a vertical crack in his foundation wall that had been there for nearly 11 years. This crack was causing water seepage into the basement; an issue the homeowner could no longer ignore. Since they were in the process of selling their home, they needed to fix the problem permanently and efficiently. The homeowner contacted Adirondack Basement Systems for a free estimate with one of our trained waterproofing specialists. Being a previous customer of ours and knowing about our nationally-backed warranties, the homeowner entrusted us to provide the solution they needed.
Our design specialist recommended FlexiSpan to the homeowner. Unlike hydraulic cements and some epoxies, the special sealant used for FlexiSpan will never dry out or re-crack over time. It will stay bonded with wall movement, and seal the crack permanently so you never have to worry! A pathway for water seepage beneath the sealant can be connected to either a dry well or a perimeter drainage system. The new homeowners can now have peace of mind that the crack will no longer seep in water and create a damp musty environment!
