The "S" family wanted to reconstruct the existing basement of their new home upon moving in, to have a comfortable and great looking space to enjoy. They chose the combo of our patented EverLast Walls and our ThermalDry Canyon Beige Tiles. Our EverLast Walls are durable 2 1/2" cement board panels with an anti-microbial non-organic vinyl finish. Not only do they look great- but they protect your health and safety as well! Due to the vinyl finish they are mold resistant and washable. The "S" family took advantage of our SaniDry XP energy-efficient dehumidifer as well, that way their family is always protected from allergens and microbials. The ThermalDry floor tiles add the perfect touch to their basement and keep the floor up to ten degrees warmer than the cold cement basement floor! This is because each tile has footing that raises it off the floor, which also creates a barrier from any moisture or vapor from reaching the surface. One huge advantage of our ThermalDry flooring is that each tile snaps together allowing creative freedom in design as well as ease in replacing a single ruined tile. The "S" family was very pleased with the results of their installation done by our foreman Austin and his crew and can now enjoy their basement ALL the time!

In early spring, a homeowner in Latham, NY faced the recurring issue of water seeping into their basement. With plans to waterproof the basement in anticipation of heavy spring rains, they turned to Adirondack Basement Systems, known in the community as trusted experts in basement solutions. Our initial contact started with our Customer Care Specialist, who promptly scheduled a home inspection.
Our System Design Specialist visited the homeowner to conduct a thorough inspection. During the visit, it became clear that water was infiltrating the space through both the foundation walls and the floor seams, creating an urgent need for a lasting solution to prevent damage.
To address these issues, we designed a comprehensive waterproofing strategy tailored to the home's specific needs. Our production team installed the WaterGuard perimeter drainage system below the basement floor, providing an effective and unobtrusive solution for capturing water seepage from the walls. This was coupled seamlessly with our TripleSafe sump pump, renowned for its reliability, even during power outages thanks to an integrated battery backup. Installed within a figure eight sump liner, the TripleSafe system ensured that even under heavy rain, the pumping demands would be efficiently met.
Additionally, understanding the freezing risks in northern climates, we included the IceGuard discharge line option. This offered peace of mind by safeguarding the sump pump discharge lines from potentially damaging blockages caused by snow and ice.
Satisfied with the quick and professional installation, the homeowner now has a clean, dry, and dependable basement. With these installed systems, they can look forward to using their space for storage or recreation without the constant worry of water damage.
In recent months, a homeowner in Latham, NY, reached out to us with growing concerns about their home's foundation. They had noticed troubling cracks in their foundation walls, and during heavy rain, water found its way into the basement through these openings. A quick chat with our Customer Care Specialist led to a scheduled inspection with one of our System Design Specialists.
During the thorough inspection, our specialist identified that the cracks and water intrusion stemmed from shifting foundation soils and the underlying structural strain. They recommended the SmartJack® System—a robust solution designed to stabilize and protect the home.
Soon after the initial assessment, our skilled production team arrived at the property, ready to remedy the issues in a lasting manner. They carefully set to work beneath the home, creating a stable support base with engineered fill, ensuring to lay down every material with precision. Galvanized steel columns were expertly cut to precise measurement and installed on steel bases. These columns were skillfully fastened with adjustable top brackets to existing girders, ensuring firm support.
As the installation reached completion, the heavy-duty threaded rods allowed the team to make precise adjustments, gently lifting the sagging floors to bring them closer to their original position. They meticulously cleaned the work area, leaving the homeowner with peace of mind and a corrective solution that rerouted both the visible aesthetic concerns and the hidden structural vulnerabilities beneath.
This Latham foundation repair now offers the homeowner a safe and dry environment, with restored equilibrium to their living quarters and no more worries for water intrusion, thanks to the dependable work of Adirondack Basement Systems in securing their home's future.
In Latham, NY, a homeowner faced a troubling issue: the bottom of the stairs connecting their basement to the garage was consistently damp. This was more than just an inconvenience—it posed risks to the integrity of their home and their peace of mind.
Upon contacting Adirondack Basement Systems, our Customer Care Specialist swiftly arranged a home inspection, ensuring that help was just around the corner. Our System Design Specialist conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the property, pinpointing the root of the problem. With years of experience in basement waterproofing, we determined that a more robust solution was needed to keep this space reliably dry.
To tackle this, we installed two key components: IceGuard and SuperSump. The IceGuard system is designed to ensure that discharge lines never back up due to freezing or blockages, with its unique design allowing water to escape if pipes become clogged or covered. In partnership with the IceGuard, the SuperSump provided a powerhouse of performance, featuring a top-rated Zoeller pump and ensuring the prolonged safety and efficiency of the basement water evacuation system.
Once installation was completed by our skilled production team, the transformation was clear. The days of moisture perched at the bottom of the stairs were over. Our thorough approach replaced worries with assurance, and the homeowner could fully enjoy their basement space, unburdened by concerns of water damage.
At Adirondack Basement Systems, our focus is delivering lasting solutions, ensuring each home we leave is dryer and each client more satisfied than before.
Recently, we had the opportunity to assist a homeowner in Latham, NY, who was dealing with unlevel concrete slabs surrounding their pool deck. This homeowner turned to us at Adirondack Basement Systems after noticing safety concerns and wanting to address the aesthetic issues caused by the uneven concrete.
The first step in our process started with a consultation call to our Customer Care Specialist. At that time, we scheduled an inspection appointment that included dispatching one of our System Design Specialists to their home. Our specialist conducted a thorough inspection around the pool deck, identifying not only the location of the problem but also the underlying cause of the shifting and sinking slabs.
We recommended and implemented the PolyLevel system as the ideal solution to this issue. On the scheduled date, our production team, made up of a skilled foreman and certified installers, arrived on site. Small, pea-sized holes were strategically drilled into the affected slabs. These weren't intrusive and wouldn't take away from the structure’s integrity. Our team then meticulously injected high-strength polyurethane foam through these holes. As the foam expanded, it lifted and leveled the slabs back to their original positions, addressing both safety and shared cosmetic concerns.
By the end of the job, what we had completed was a seamlessly even textured surface that not only enhanced the pool area but also restored its safety features for the homeowner and their family. Our method, precision-focused and using advanced technology, provided a reliable and lasting solution. The homeowner in Latham was delighted with the results, noting both the invisibility of our work and the professional approach we maintained throughout the process.

This homeowner in Latham, NY reached out to Adirondack Basement Systems because she was having issues with water in her basement that kept on getting worse. This was mostly due to the previously installed French Drain not draining properly. Her biggest concern was that the water in the basement could lead to mold which would lead to a bigger problem. Tonya went out to give this homeowner a free no-obligation estimate and propose a permanent solution. Matt and his crew then installed a SuperSump, which will keep any unwanted water and drain it into the system. The added bonus to a SuperSump is that if the water levels ever get too high, there is an alarm that will go off so the homeowner won't have to keep on checking. The next products that were installed was an IceGuard exterior discharge line and a LawnScape outlet. The IceGuard allows water to escape when the discharge line is frozen. The discharge lines then connect to the LawnScape outlet which blends in with your lawn while getting rid of any potential damaging items to a basement. Now that these products have been installed, this homeowner no longer has to worry about water getting in to her basement and ruining it anymore.
The older a home gets, the more likely foundation problems are to arise. One issue that appears with time is bowing walls, which can lead to serious trouble if left untreated. This homeowner noticed their basement walls buckling out of place a bit, so they called us to see what could be done. In a situation like this, there’s only one product that can effectively keep the damage from getting worse: PowerBraces.
To start, we measured the basement space as a whole and the wall’s displacement from its original position. Next, we checked where the wall was weakest, determining if there are any locations that may require more support than others. Even spacing for the PowerBraces is important because if one spot is taking on more than another, then the entire system could collapse due to the uneven weight distribution. To prevent this from happening, we take extra care during the planning phase, precisely mapping out the location of each PowerBrace. Once we marked the spots and double checked our work, we brought in the right sized PowerBraces and cut them down to perfectly fit to the wall. Installation is not invasive and the braces fit snugly in without any intrusion. We attached them at the joists and created a nice, snug fit between the PowerBraces and the wall. And that’s that. PowerBraces will keep the walls from bowing any further and can be tightened to bring the wall back to its proper place.
